LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT- INDIANAPOLIS, IN or LOUISVILLE, KY
Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group is seeking a creative individual to join our landscape architecture & planning team in either our Indianapolis or Louisville office. The successful candidate will provide landscape architecture, planning and design services to a wide variety of public and private clients. The position requires work on a range of project types, including concept plan development to preparation of construction documents, project specifications and cost estimates. Additional project types that the candidate would be anticipated to support and/or lead include community planning and public engagement assignments. The candidate must have experience with technical project documentation, graphic communication and the assembly of reports, narratives, and presentations. Candidates must be self-motivated with the flexibility to work both independently and collaboratively on assignments. Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, including hand drawing and rendering is desired. Regional travel is expected for project meetings.

Necessary software skills include: Proficiency in AutoCAD (Land F/X), Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Lumion, SketchUp and ArcGIS software is beneficial.
Education requirements: Candidate should possess undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program or master’s degree or dual degrees in both landscape architecture and urban design or planning with Professional Registration and 8+ years of experience.

SENIOR COMMUNITY PLANNER- LOUISVILLE, KY

Taylor Siefker Williams Design Group is seeking a full-time planning professional who has the skills and experience to become a critical part of our community planning practice in our Louisville office. Experience in zoning and subdivision regulations and land use planning is required with a desired focus in comprehensive planning, parks and recreation planning. A successful candidate should also have a strong background in document layout, graphics development, and public engagement. Additionally, candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be detail-oriented, comfortable working in team or collaborative groups and be self-motivated. Regional travel is expected for project meetings.
Necessary software skills include: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and ArcGIS are required. Knowledge of website platforms (WordPress/ Wix, etc.) and Sketchup is beneficial.

Education requirements: Candidates must have a Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Urban Planning (or similar field) with 5+ years of experience. AICP Certification or willingness to obtain is desired.

2025 INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES- APPLICATIONS OPENING LATE FALL 2024
We are seeking candidates for potential internships in the fields of Landscape Architecture and Community Planning. Internship opportunities will expose students to a collaborative, professional office environment working with a team of experienced design professionals.
Landscape Architecture Internship: This position will provide staff assistance with a variety of trail, greenway, park and urban design projects. Assignments will vary, but will typically include site planning, graphic and technical production. Candidates must possess proficiency in graphic communication skills, Microsoft, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and SketchUp.

Community Planning Internship: This position will be involved in providing technical assistance on a variety of comprehensive planning, regional planning and community development projects. Duties may include preparing presentation graphics, writing reports and data analysis. Candidates must have excellent written communication skills and proficiency with utilizing GIS, Microsoft and Adobe Suite.
Successful candidates for the potential 2025 internship positions must be energetic, self-motivated, great communicators with strong leadership qualities. Duration of internships is a minimum of 10 weeks, with potential extensions depending on workload and availability. Current enrollment (or recent degree) in an accredited program of Landscape Architecture and/or Urban Planning is required.
