Rice Island Receives APA: IN Award

We are pleased to share that our Rice Island project was recognized by the American Planning Association - Indiana Chapter (APA-IN) today at their Spring conference in Muncie. The project received an award in the Outstanding Urban Design category. The project restored a 6-acre island incorporating salvaged materials and structures, including the rehabilitation of an historic rail bridge as a gateway to the island. The resulting design includes a restored WPA era Field House, park shelter, 1-acre lawn, restored 1886 bridge connection, nature-themed playground, trails and future 2-acre pollinator meadow. Congratulations to our design partners VS Engineering, Inc., Midwestern Engineering, and CWC Latitudes; contractor MAC Construction; and to our clients at the Town of Corydon (Corydon Stellar).
